Mercedes GLC with EQ technology – exterior design
The new electric GLC is also to introduce a new Mercedes design language called "Sensual Clarity". One of the central elements of the new design, which is to be successively rolled out to other models, is the large chrome grille that Mercedes has now unveiled.

The new grille consists of three components: a wide chrome-plated frame, a grille structure in a smoked glass look and integrated contour lighting. There is also an optional version that is illuminated via 942 backlit dots. This can then also play animations and bring the car to life in pixel graphics. Without this option, only the frame and the star are illuminated. Together with the Mercedes stars in the front lights, the GLC with EQ technology is very recognizable. Gorden Wagener, Chief Design Officer of Mercedes-Benz, also said that the new grille redefines "the face of our brand".

Especially in the side view, it is noticeable that Mercedes has fortunately said goodbye to the electric models, which are only concerned with aerodynamics. Although the new GLC still has curves, it looks much more angular and robust and with its own character.

The designers at GLC have also dared to do more at the rear, relying on a striking rear light design as a central eye-catcher. The two-part lights with star light signature make the GLC easily recognisable from the rear.
Mercedes GLC with EQ technology – battery and range
Under the hood, Mercedes offers modern 800-volt technology for better charging speed, paired with a 94 kWh battery. The new Mercedes-Benz GLC with EQ technology offers 360 kW (489 hp) of power as well as all-wheel drive and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.3 seconds. Top speed is 210 km/h.

A range of up to 713 km is possible with the new GLC and a charging power of up to 330 kW ensures fast charging, so range anxiety is not necessary. Up to 303 km range can be charged within 10 minutes. A two-speed automatic transmission and air suspension ensure efficient and comfortable travel in the new Mercedes GLC.

If you opt for the optional towed coupling, you can even hook and pull 2.4 tonnes on the new GLC. A value that is at the forefront of electric cars.
Mercedes GLC with EQ Technology – Interior
In the interior, there is the option of the 39.1-inch Hyperscreen with the latest MB. OS for a modern infotainment experience as we already know it from the Mercedes CLA. The center console and Hyperscreen seem to merge into one element. Without the Hyperscreen, the MBUX Superscreen is available as standard with three display surfaces: 10.3-inch digital instrument cluster, 14-inch infotainment display and 14-inch passenger display. In the basic version, the passenger display is only suitable for decoration and shows customizable images, and only from the Advanced Plus trim level onwards is there a functional passenger display.

For better operability, Mercedes has reintroduced a rocker and a roller on the steering wheel, so that more haptic feedback is given to the driver during operation. Ambient lighting is to be provided for a sense of well-being, as is the panoramic roof for an airy atmosphere. Numerous interior features can be selected for individualisation. The new GLC even offers a certified vegan interior, if customers so wish.

The wheelbase of the new GLC is eight centimetres longer than its predecessor, so that the occupants can benefit from more legroom and headroom at both the front and rear. For luggage, there is a 570-liter trunk that can be expanded to 1,740 liters. At the front of the frunk there is room for another 128 litres, so there is more than enough space for travelling in the GLC with EQ technology.

The infotainment in the new GLC is the fourth-generation MBUX and uses the Unity Engine for its presentation. In addition to good customisability of the infotainment, the MBUX system also scores with the integration of artificial intelligence. Both Microsoft and Google are working together with Mercedes-Benz here and significantly improving the voice assistant. He can now hold conversations and understand contexts. In the presentation, the assistant is now also graphically depicted as a stylized Mercedes star, which is intended to make operation even more intuitive.
Mercedes-Benz also uses the latest technology in terms of safety and offers up to ten exterior cameras, five radar sensors, twelve ultrasonic sensors and a high-performance computer in the GLC. As a result, it offers the latest safety assistants, including parking assistants with automatic parking processes.
Mercedes GLC with EQ technology – price and market launch

The all-electric GLC is expected to be available at dealerships from spring 2026 and will cost just under €70,000. Mercedes-Benz has not yet given exact details on the date or price. At launch, there is only one variant to choose from, and that is the Mercedes GLC 400 4MATIC with EQ technology.
